The app requires Bluetooth to determine which other users are nearby. None of your private information is transmitted through this technology.

Does leaving on Bluetooth drain my battery?

We put a lot of effort into testing this and the Climp app uses much less battery than many of the popular social network or messaging apps. We relay on Bluetooth LE which is extremely battery efficient.

You can always kill the application or turn off Bluetooth. Be aware that then you are also not be able to discover any other users.

No this is not possible. We don’t want any ghosts, since we believe this is not fair.

Can I track any users with this app? Or can others track me?

Technically this is impossible. You are only able to discover people within a range of 10-20 meters. The app has no permission to use your geolocation.

Make sure the Bluetooth is on both devices. Obviously, both must have the Climp app installed and signed-up.
